Martham Lodge is a picturesque Victorian country house overlooking the village green in Martham, with a modern purpose-built extension providing a home for 20 residents in the beautiful Norfolk Broads. Our rooms are equipped with modern facilities such as nurse call bell systems, Freeview TV, and wifi, and our south-facing enclosed garden features raised flowerbeds and a variety of shrubs and trees for residents to enjoy.

Our professional standard of care and service is specifically designed for those living with any form of dementia, with a focus on promoting independence, dignity, and respect in a safe, homely, and comfortable environment. Our activities program includes regular live music performances, arts and crafts, reminiscence groups, sing-along sessions, and coffee and cake afternoons, as well as encouraging residents to participate in everyday tasks such as laundry folding and table setting. Nicola Buck

Nicola Buck is a highly experienced care professional with 19 years of experience in the field. She began her career at Martham Lodge as a junior care assistant, and since then has earned her NVQ Level 3 and recently completed her RQF Level 4. Nicola has a passion for providing exceptional care, and finds motivation in the positive interactions she has with residents on a daily basis. As she puts it, “I love being able to put a smile on faces and it’s these positive interactions that strive me to do well.” In addition to her commitment to providing excellent care, Nicola has a vision for Martham Lodge to become more involved with the local community and to build a support network for residents and their families. Despite starting university to study accountancy, Nicola’s life took a different path, and she has found her calling in the care industry.
