Welcome to Broadland House

Broadland House Care Home in Potter Heigham is a warm and inviting residential care home for the elderly, offering a safe and comfortable environment for 20 older people who may be living with a form of Dementia. Our spacious and attractive bedrooms some of which are en-suite are equipped with a wireless nurse call bell system, Freeview TV, and are Wifi friendly. We place much emphasis on the specific needs of our residents while promoting independence, dignity, and respect to maintain the quality of life for everyone in our care.

Our activities program, which includes regular musical entertainment, encourages participation from both residents and their friends and families. We also encourage activities that promote the continuation of “normal life,” such as household tasks and gardening. Our raised courtyard garden is a peaceful and serene spot, planted with various shrubs and flowers for their colors, fragrances, and textures. At Broadland House, we are dedicated to providing professional standards of care and service to ensure that our residents are comfortable, relaxed, and able to enjoy a lifestyle they would enjoy in their own home.

Rachel Nicholls

Rachel Nicholls is a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager at Broadland House Residential Care Home. With 18 years of experience in the care industry, Rachel has worked her way up from a care assistant to her current role as the manager. She was inspired to move into health and social care after caring for a disabled relative, which made her realise the importance of making a positive difference in someone’s life. Rachel holds NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications, as well as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. She is passionate about providing exceptional care and support to the residents at Broadland House, and is motivated to do so as she would for her own family. Her goal is to continue creating a homely environment that offers excellent care for the residents in her care.
